Reach Deaf Services is seeking a CEO to lead a significant programme of change and delivery. We are an organisation that primarily provides community support for Deaf and Deafblind Adults and Children through two main services.
Our vision is to make positive changes in the lives of our service users. We have recently adapted the Time To Move On policy which sees adult service users transition from an institutional setting into independent/supported living in the community. We are also making changes in our model of care in our children’s services. We have commenced and published a new 5-year strategy and have undergone a change in brand and identity as of late 2021. The role of CEO will be to ensure the success of Reach Deaf Services A New Path – Strategic Plan 2022-2027, which is available online www.reachdeafservices.ie
Over the past five years Reach Deaf Services has experienced significant changes in the areas of governance and finance, and has led and supported a programme of organisational reform and modernisation. The successful candidate will continue to lead the organisation, develop brand recognition, and provide stability, momentum and ambition to Reach Deaf Services, all of which are essential as we continue to move forward as an organisation.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be a strategic leader and an experienced manager with a strong knowledge of the voluntary sector. In particular they should demonstrate a strong knowledge of governance and have experience in the areas of service delivery, finance and resource management relevant to our organisation. It is desirable that they have knowledge of Residential / Community adult/children services.
They should have excellent communication skills and preferably be fluent in Irish Sign Language (ISL) or demonstrate a willingness to learn. The person should be good at building and maintaining positive relationships and capable of delivering change. The successful candidate will be a highly energetic individual, with the ambition to deliver on a demanding strategic plan
