Deaf Christmas Day Dinner
The Deaf Christmas Day Dinner is run by small committee of four members who coordinate and organise the annual event on Christmas Day for Deaf people. The first Christmas Day Dinner was held in 2017 and has been running ever since, however in 2020 and 2021, due to Covid-19, in-person events were not allowed and deliveries were made instead. We typically have 30 guests at the dinner and about 15 volunteers who help out on the day.
Overview
The Deaf Christmas Day Dinner objective is to give socially isolated Deaf people a sense of being valued and included on Christmas Day, entering into the Christmas Spirit.
Where your money goes
The money raised will contribute towards food costs, decorations, invites, postage and other expenses relating to the running of the dinner.
