Supported Living Services
At Supported Living Services, we are dedicated to empowering Deaf individuals to live a good life one that is fulfilling, connected, and rooted in their community. Our work is grounded in respect, inclusion, and a deep understanding of Deaf culture and communication.
Deaf identity and communication in Irish Sign Language (ISL) are at the heart of everything we do. We ensure that every person we support is understood, respected, and fully included in all aspects of their life.
We offer one-to-one support through ISL, designed in consultation with each person to reflect their individual needs and preferences. This support includes assistance with daily living, social participation, and community involvement enabling and empowering each person to be an active member of their community and to develop or maintain the skills and confidence needed to live a life of their choosing.
When possible, we match individuals with support workers who share similar interests and can communicate effectively or adapt to their needs. Where required, we also provide ISL classes to support communication development. This approach helps foster strong relationships, promote understanding, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Guided by Social Role Valorisation (SRV) and Self-Directed Living, we support people to build valued social roles, strengthen community connections, and live life on their own terms.
We are a neuro-affirming, rights-based service that values individuality, autonomy, and self-directed choice. Our dedicated team led by the Head of Support Services and overseen by Service Manager, Community Support Managers, alongside our Clinical Team, Practice Culture & Development team, Social Care and Support Workers, Administration and Transport staff all working collaboratively to deliver holistic, inclusive, and meaningful support.
Everything we do centres on empowering Deaf people, ensuring ISL and Deaf culture are fully recognised and respected. l team.
